The Wireless Business Unit
The Wireless Business Unit is a growing team in ARM developing the next generation of low power wireless connectivity IP to connect ARM devices in a broad range of markets. Our Bluetooth Smart and 802.15.4 radio IP is being used to connect even the smallest and lowest power processors to IoT services enabling our partners to achieve faster time to market. We continue to add more products to our growing portfolio.
About the role
As a Product Manager with the Wireless Business Unit at ARM, you will be responsible for the product marketing of ARM’s wireless IP products.
As a member of the team you will help manage systems products throughout their entire life-cycle. You will be involved in market requirements capture and help translate to engineering requirements, competitive industry trends and analysis, creation and maintenance of marketing collateral, support product launch planning and execution, support of sales opportunities, and product set-up in the internal database systems.
You will be joining an established team that was formed as a startup and retains an agile small company feel, but with the support and infrastructure of the wider ARM business. This will be a challenging and rewarding product marketing role providing you an exciting opportunity to interact directly with the leading semiconductor manufacturers and some of the largest consumer electronics worldwide. This environment offers the opportunity to start and develop your career in product marketing/product management. You will have the opportunity to travel frequently both domestic and overseas, representing ARM and the Wireless Business Unit products. This role is based in Deerfield Beach, FL. Relocation may be available.
What will I be accountable for?
· Be a member of the product marketing team at WBU, with specific focus on WPAN products and solutions
· Managing the product lifecycle starting with the system product definition through approvals, development, release and maintenance.
· Ensuring market requirements are translated correctly into engineering product requirements
· Ensuring product features and engineering schedules are signed off against the business plan
· Technical schedules are monitored and feature trade-offs made where necessary against the business plan
· Development of collateral including presentations, white papers, and customer value propositions
· Support for sales, business development and application engineering teams as the product expert as well as providing suitable product collateral to sell effectively.
· Assist with execution of marketing communications activities with Marcom to encompass press and analyst briefings, product launches, conference
· Collaboration and alignment within WBU and across other ARM groups and third-parties to ensure a complete eco-system around the ARM wireless IP
Job Requirements
What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or computer science. A business degree is a plus.
· 3+ Years’ experience of the Semiconductor/Electronics industry with a proven track record in product marketing.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate and present effectively and appropriately internally and externally, at all levels
· Experience working directly with customers
· Proactive team player with excellent networking, influence and negotiation skills
· Understanding of business plans and commercial justifications
· Partner focused with a passion for creative solutions aligned with WBU’s needs
· Self-motivated and adept at planning, prioritization and organization
· Experience in working across cultures, in different countries
· Able to support 25% of travel – regional and international
