About the role
The Internet of Things is driving the requirement for a disruptive change in the way embedded devices are created and deployed. Our mission is to build a modern full stack open-source OS and tools focused on developer productivity, low power, IP communication and security that can be used by 100,000s of developers creating connected IoT devices. The Internet of Things Business Unit is a new team inside ARM working on what will be the next generation of the mbed platform. This work focuses on production-grade software and tools.
We are looking for a talented engineer who is partner focused and shares our vision of the future who can work in conjunction with the rest of our engineering team and partner ecosystem, to help our developer community be successful. You will join a fast growing team of professional engineers who all share a vision and passion for building a foundation for this emerging industry that will change the way connected devices are developed.
You will primarily work with our partners to help them bring their technology, products and services to the mbed ecosystem. You will also work with the developers who are using the mbed ecosystem to build the next generation of connected devices, enabling them to be successful.
What will I be accountable for?
· Responsibility for partner relationship, including running meetings, communicating roadmaps, and acting as their voice to the internal engineering teams
· Proactively engaging with the other members of the (International) Partner Enablement team to ensure information and knowledge is shared
· Working with our Commercial Operations team to present new opportunities to our partners, and characterize new products and services we can offer our Partners
· Reacting to help partners solve deep technical issues, involving core engineering teams where appropriate
· Generally doing everything you can to make sure partners get great results!

· Educating partners and developers about new technologies, techniques and tools
· Creating videos
· Preparing and delivering presentations
· Taveling to support events, Partner workshops, conferences and seminars
Job Requirements
What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
· Cortex-M microcontrollers and peripherals
· Writing technical content, documentation and getting started guides
· Reading schematics and debug at a PCB level using typical laboratory equipment if needed
· Compilation process and tools, C libraries and microcontroller startup
· Understanding Radio technologies used in IoT Applications (BLE, Wi-Fi, 6LoWPAN, Thread)
· In-depth experience working with hardware and software for microcontrollers
· Planning and Organizational skills - Able to operate a well-structured and organized schedule
· Excel in helping others be productive and successful in their work
· Run effective and efficient meetings
· Methodical approach to troubleshooting
· Multi-platform development experience - Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS
