IT PMO Delivery Team PMO

The Information Technology group at ARM provides a range of services to support existing and future commercial activities through working closely with the business globally to develop business change initiatives. Within this group, the Business Change & Delivery (BCD) team has works to deliver valuable business change to support ARMS growth in an agile, resilient and scalable way.

The purpose of the Delivery Team PMO role is to support the delivery of IT business change projects through continuous improvement of project delivery assurance and project delivery management across the IT portfolio. The role will support adoption of tools, processes and working procedures amongst the delivery teams, putting forward and championing new initiatives amongst the Project Management community. The role is instrumental in ensuring our delivery commitments are met whilst adhering to prescribed internal and external audit requirements.

The role is based in the IT Group at ARM’s Eastbrook office in Cambridge, UK and is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, driven team.

You will be able to work closely with Delivery Team Managers, Project Managers and stakeholders to understand their roadmaps and commitments and establish ongoing channels of communication to complete open and consistent project assurance activities across the IT portfolio.

Job Description

·  Reporting to the IT PMO Team Leader, this role is central to the successful delivery of projects within the boundaries of our IT Governance framework, through independent assurance activities and close collaboration with our IT project teams.
·  Required Skills/Experience
·  Demonstrable experience as PMO within in a IT environment
·  Delivery of project and/or programme reporting to programme and corporate standards
·  Review and delivery of projects to corporate assurance standards
·  Project governance, deep dives and reporting results across multiple teams
·  Design and implementation of assurance frameworks and processes
·  Tracking of project and programme finances to corporate accounting standards
·  Project healthcheck and process adherence tracking
·  Project planning, resource and milestone tracking from start up through to service transition and benefits realisation
·  Good MS Project skills, including producing structured project plans
·  Management of project and/or programme RAID logs, scope and change control
·  Understanding of IT project management methodologies including agile and waterfall

Desirable Skills/Experience

·  Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Excel
·  Project management qualification such as PMP, Prince2, SCRUM/DSDM
·  Microsoft Project online/ EPM experience
·  Practical knowledge of agile project management techniques such as scrum, Kanban or DSDM
·  Knowledge of DevOps
·  Knowledge of SAFe
·  Use of Jira
·  Risks & issues
·  Sprint & task management
·  Ability to work interactively and flexibly within a small focused team
