What you'll do 

As the Product Manager for Ticketing, you will be at the forefront of transforming one of the most visible and high-impact touchpoints in store: the shelf edge.  Whether its paper or digital, ticketing plays a critical role in the customer journey and store operations.  

This role sits at the intersection of technology, design and in-store experience – bridging traditional print with cutting edge digital displays and real time data integration. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders and third-party software providers you'll be a key player in crafting our technology strategy, make data driven decisions, and owning our roadmap. You're the driving force behind delivering innovative features that impact millions of customers. 

But that's not all. You'll dive deep into understanding our customers' and business users’ needs and devising strategies that strike the perfect balance between customer satisfaction and commercial success to deliver the Sainsbury's strategy. With your knack for creative problem-solving and a passion for experimentation, you'll push boundaries, constantly seeking ways to enhance the customer experience. 

Working in agile teams, you'll forge strong partnerships with engineering, external partners, experience design and key stakeholders, collaborating seamlessly to bring your vision to life. Working cross-functionally, influencing roadmaps and spearheading large-scale initiatives that shape the future of Sainsbury's. 

  

What You Need To Do 

· Lead the end- to-end product lifecycle for ticketing, applying agile practices and decision making tools and frameworks to prioritising the value of measurable outcomes over outputs. 

· Build great relationships with engineering and our external software providers to define and refine artefacts, understanding the tech landscape and how technology impacts the performance and perception from a customer expectation perspective. 

· You'll focus on understanding, anticipating and exceeding customer needs by collaborate with colleagues across Sainsbury’s and staying close to the in-store product experience by regularly listening to customer and colleague feedback 

· You’ll prioritise opportunities for the product keeping in mind value delivery, efficiency savings and technical foundations, validating hypotheses where necessary and using data to drive decisions  

· Partner with our awesome engineers, experience design and a broader cross functional team to design and build services our colleagues and customers love 

· Actively seeks out relevant market, competitor and customer data, engaging both internal and external teams to help shape the overall product roadmap 

  

How You Will Succeed 

· You are able to work within a scrum team with amazing engineers and experience design colleagues, managing a backlog, epics and user stories. 

· You’re relentlessly focused on understanding, anticipating and exceeding their customers needs 

· You are able to collaborate effectively with other teams, customers and stakeholders where necessary 

 · You actively utilise priority decision making tools and frameworks to inform team priorities and focus 

· You can build a roadmap and articulate a product vision using tools and methods, such as a vision board 

· You’re technically curious – you ask the right questions to drive better solutions and can translate between customer requirements and technology delivery 

· You get data – using product metrics to prioritise effectively and seek out the right information to make strategic decisions 

· You keep an eye on the commercials – get what makes a product viable and can articulate the business benefits 

· You’re a team player, always up for contributing to building a great culture at Sainsbury’s tech
