Join our dynamic Transformation & Operational Development team at Sainsbury’s, where we shape the future of our Retail and Digital Operating Models. We translate our corporate strategy into specific programmes to transform our business, ensuring we have ‘one version of the truth’ in our priority areas.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will support the Director of Transformation & Operational Development by bringing together our transformation plans and in-flight activities. You will provide oversight, connectivity, and value-add reporting, driving fantastic engagement with colleagues and leadership across the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support change delivery at pace through excellent cross-functional working.
- Provide a one-stop-shop for all change activity, ensuring confidence and clarity around project and benefit delivery.
- Ensure consistent data capture and programme information.
- Document and manage interdependencies within the programme and across the portfolio.
- Create and maintain clear and regular reporting that adds value for the programme and leadership.
- Connect individual initiatives through key dependency mapping, resource requirements, and outcome mapping.
- Drive regular, high-quality engagement with key transformation leaders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in reporting, coordinating, and developing MI and dashboards.
- Ability to identify strategic issues, synthesise information, and present recommendations clearly.
- Deep understanding of programme and project management methodology.
- Ability to manage time effectively amidst conflicting priorities and timescales.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage and gain buy-in from project managers.
