What you'll do
You will lead and manage the strategic delivery of packaging design initiatives in collaboration with key packaging design agencies, ensuring effective and impactful packaging design across all own brands and ranges. Your role will involve creating and managing the annual plan of design work, overseeing cross-category design briefs, and delivering project outputs to a high standard. You will be responsible for managing the design budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and establishing strong working relationships with design agencies to drive successful outcomes. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining design consistency, managing the design process, and providing guidance and clear communication within the Product Development community to support the timely implementation of design guidelines.

As a Packaging Design Manager for Sainsbury's, you are a seasoned professional with a strong background in packaging design and a proven track record of delivering impactful design solutions for retail own brands. Your expertise in managing design projects, overseeing budgets, and fostering strong relationships with design agencies enables you to drive market-leading packaging designs that align with broader business objectives. With your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead cross-functional teams, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of design projects and maintaining consistency in packaging artwork across various product categories.
