We are looking for an exceptional analyst to join our Strategic Analysis Team. You will be part of a team of analysts supporting Operations Development and can be working on topics as diverse as fulfilment/location strategy, measuring operational efficiency projects, scoping and measuring sales driving opportunities, investigating great (and occasionally poor!) performing areas of the business, exploring / sizing opportunities for driving sales/customer or cost benefits.

Operations Development has an extremely broad remit of driving change across stores, fulfilment, store format, propositions and also owns much of the technical product development, so being able to channel your analytical skills to a variety of subject matters is key. As is the ability to quickly pick up the business context of the opportunities you will be working on.

The overriding objective of the Strategic Analysis Team is to ensure that we produce the best analysis to ensure Operations Development make the best decisions on scoping, defining, and implementing change.

As an Operational Insight Analyst, you will:

Be an expert in understanding and dissecting operating models.
Provide analytical expertise to influence the projects you are supporting.
Work cross functionally linking with other analytical communities to produce a holistic impact of change.
Partner with the wider Operations Development Team to ensure the business makes the right decisions on change.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Strong Analytical skills (SQL essential), and the ability to manipulate large data sets efficiently.
An ability to turn data into insight, and then be able to communicate this insight back to the business in a straightforward way.
To be able to intuitively select the best visualisations to demonstrate the insight you have created.
The ability to pick up business concepts fast, to be able to understand a broad array of problem/opportunity areas.
Be confident to make recommendations and influence the thinking of key decision makers.
An inquisitive nature, and a passion for learning.
Be proficient in Power Bi & DAX – or similar visualisation tools to transfer skills from.
