In a nutshell
Bradwell Media's Junior Set Builder will be responsible for assiting the team in delivering a high quality Set Building service for all photographic & videography projects across Bradwell Media. This includes assisting on all aspects of set build, such as, carpentry 1st and 2nd fix work, bespoke feature builds, painting and decorating and tiling.
The Junior would be expected to work alongside another set builder and assist and learn on all projects possible. Collecting and delivering materials and goods. In charge of stock take and managing materials. All builds are completed in the onsite workshop and fitting of sets on the studio floor and location shoots, all tools provided.
Opportunity to learn and be trained to work in one of the largest studios operations in the UK media industry. Gaining experience in Set building techniques and set design as part of a in house setbuild.
What I need to do
1.Assist the set build team to deliver high quality Set Building for all group projects across Photography and videography production.
2.To collect materials/paint during projects on a daily basis.
3.Build and maintain honest, trusting and collaborative relationships both internally within the studio and with wider business stakeholders. Actively seeking and providing feedback in order to constantly improve your own delivery.
4.Ensure that the workshop and paint areas are kept clean and in good working order.
5.Operate as part of the Set Build team and wider Creative and Bradwell Media teams. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
6.Managing materials and paint supply.
7.Support the team with H&S
8.Full UK driving license held for minimum of 1 year.
9.Expected to support of various location shoots around the country. Travel and accomdation will be provided.
How I will succeed
•Completion of all jobs and tasks given to you, exceeding expections where possible, show a desire to learn and progress
•Both the studio working areas and the workshop are kept clean, tidy and within agreed standards
•Timelines committed to as part of the Set Build plan will be realistic and be adhered to
•The quality of build for sets will be to a high standard and will support both photography and video standard requirements
•Estimates will be realistic and as close to final cost as possible
What I need to know
•Experience working in building, construction or decorating trades is desireable.
•Experience working with power tools would be desireable
•Any experience of estimating & planning for building & decorating materials is desireable.
•Must have Current UK Driving License held for minimum of 1 year.
•Would be beneficial to have experience working in a photo studio or film industry set building environment

•Budget as determined by each project. Set Build budgets can range between £50 - £5000
•All Hand and powertools Provided
•ALL P.P.E provided
•Training provided in house, in carpentry, tiling, decorating, art effects and design elements.
•Van for Use in work time.
What decisions I can make
•Junior Set Builder has the authority to purchase set build materials inline with agreed project budget
•May be require to run basic project in studios.
