What you'll do
As the Internal Communications Manager for People Campaigns at Sainsbury's, your role is fundamental in driving the delivery of people-focused colleague campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Internal Communications Manager for People Campaigns, your main responsibility will be to build understanding and belief in the company's purpose and strategy among colleagues through engaging and compelling campaigns, as well as delivering large-scale communications projects. You will work closely with the People (HR) team to ensure consistent messaging and regular communication with line managers. Additionally, you will support the changes in leadership expectations and drive capability and performance. By effectively utilising various communication channels, you will tell the story of how Sainsbury's invests in their colleagues, promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and enhances employee well-being. Furthermore, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, contribute to a collaborative culture, and continuously improve ways of working.
Who you are
You are a highly skilled and experienced professional in the field of internal communications and can demonstrate the experiences below, as well as contribute to a collaborative culture and strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of your work.
- Experience of creating and delivering internal communications plans on pay and benefits; diversity, equity and inclusion; and wellbeing (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong background in internal communications in fast-paced and complex organisations with broad and varied audiences including frontline colleagues (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong understanding of the retail environment (DESIRABLE)
- Excellent judgement, attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to handle large amounts of information and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Experience of advising stakeholders about tone and delivery of communications
