As a Financial Crime Operations Analyst, you will undertake daily monitoring tasks such as performing reviews of transactions that are flagged as high risk and working with other teams to obtain further information. You'll provide high quality support and decision making in the review outputs of the PEPs and sanctions screening system. You'll identify false positives and true matches, in compliance with the AML and Sanctions Policy and escalate accordingly.

We are offering a permanent position available at our contact centre Widnes, offering 35 hours a week on a fixed shift pattern, working between the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday – Saturday.
As a Financial Crime Operations Analyst you will:
Deal with and investigate alerts from transaction monitoring and high risk customer reports
Undertake PEP's and Sanctions monitoring tasks, and escalate as required
Collate information and fulfil the legal obligations in relation to requests for information including Court orders.
Conduct suspicious activity and reputational risk investigations as warranted
Support the Financial Crime Team Manager on risk or compliance related projects.
Manage cases effectively, maintain quality and compliance standards
Support the Team Manager by providing appropriate support to less experienced colleagues, by sharing best practise and acting as a role model at all times
Ensure performance is within Quality Assurance framework which will maintain competence whilst achieving the monthly objectives set
As Financial Crime Operations Analyst you will have:
Good communication skills – both verbal & written, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
Previous experience of working within a Financial Services environment
Ability to remain calm under pressure; prioritising tasks to ensure all Service Level Agreements are met and maintained
Confidence in decision making using process flows and your own judgement from investigation.
Excellent attention to detail, and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Able to accurately follow guidelines and company procedures
Experience of effectively underwriting Storecard applications
Ability to communicate confidently at all levels and use initiative when required and prioritise tasks within the department when working unsupervised.
Be able to work strongly within a team to share knowledge and experience.
High levels of energy, drive, self-motivation and is fast thinking
