Please note, this role is based out of our Holborn Store Support Centre & Home - colleagues in the team go into the office 2 days per week on average.

In this role you will be working as part of a small team who support the Business Transformation team. We sit within FP&A and directly partner the Chief Transformation Director.

More about the role

  • As a member of Finance, our ultimate purpose is driving, partnering & protecting the business. We need to represent Finance in every room and conversation
  • Be part of the journey to define what good looks like for our Transformation Portfolio team
  • Develop a strong understanding of our key Transformation activities, building a view of key Risks, Opportunities and Dependencies across the Portfolio to drive the right, probing conversations within the business, including with the Operating Board
  • Explore, drive and implement value-add Tooling where appropriate to support the ongoing visibility and insight of the Transformation Portfolio
  • Work closely with Finance teams to establish consistency and develop best practice across financial reporting and analysis of Transformation activity; continually assess whether things can be done in a simpler and better way, and act accordingly to drive the change 
  • Ability to identify and perform financial evaluation and sensitivity analysis of different opportunities that may arise in the Transformation space, and be the driving force behind the conversation 
  • Accountable for cross-referencing and producing accurate documentation in all areas
  • Willing to flex your focus within the team across Transformation activity to prioritise the most value-add activity 
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance as appropriate

More about you 

  • Professionally Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Ideally have (but not essential) experience with managing / driving a Transformation Portfolio
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including experience of financial modelling / business case build
  • Comfortable working within an ambiguous and unstructured environment, approaching it with a ‘get up and go’ attitude 
  • Resilient personality, capable of giving and taking challenges from senior stakeholders and working through blockers to get to tangible next steps
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people
  • To have a good track record of strong financial control, but also the ability to maintain such an environment
  • Effective communicator with all levels of stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen.
  • Brilliant ‘Storytelling’. The ability to take complex business and finance concepts and produce high quality outputs which the business can understand and act upon
  • Able to work autonomously, demonstrating good prioritisation and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a strong eye for detail and accuracy
