What you'll do
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the Property Team of one of the top FTSE 100 retailers, Sainsbury's. As part of the Carbon, Engineering & Equipment Design team, you will be accountable for supporting and leading key projects that focus on turning our Store Design team’s creative ideas into physical assets we can prototype, trial and deliver as a rollback across the Sainsbury's Group estate. You will work closely with internal colleagues and external suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the Store Design Framework, embracing the challenge to make trials and roll back installations a success. Your responsibilities will include managing budgets, leading the value engineering equipment development process, providing clear communication on project progress, and ensuring suppliers are briefed and accountable for delivering projects on time and to the agreed budget and specifications. With your excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders, you will support the broader team and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
Who you are
As a member of the Sainsbury’s Property Team, you are a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for making a positive difference in the retail industry. With a focus on supporting and leading key Format Trials projects, you possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Your inquisitive nature allows you to question and grasp concepts quickly, ensuring the development and delivery of the best fixture solutions for trials and roll back projects across the Sainsbury’s Group estate. With your
self-motivation, organisational skills, and ability to work independently, you take ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Overall, your commitment to continuous improvement and your drive to succeed contribute to making our stores better through design solutions and a collaborative approach to achieving success in every endeavour.
