This Enterprise Solutions Architect is responsible for owning the IT Architecture for Financial Services, and ensuring the understanding, integration, interactions and exploitation of the application products within FS.

What you’ll be doing

Ownership for the IT architecture and solution blueprint for Financial Services
Oversee the design for projects, acting as design authority at project level:

Working with Sainsbury’s Argos business stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions meet business needs.
Signing off technical designs from our delivery partners
Ensuring appropriate levels of consistency with other areas of IT, and adherence to architecture and security standards.
Identifying risks inherent to particular technology solutions
Inputs into developing implementation approaches for proposed architecture, assisting the technical teams to implement the design

Drives innovation and introducing the business to new possible and relevant technologies.
Manages relationships with key product vendors that provide the solutions in Financial Services and takes ownership for ensuring maximum exploitation of those products by the business to drive value for Sainsbury’s Argos

How?

Develop architecture strategies and roadmaps for their business domain
Understand and oversee architecture work (solution designs, blueprints) from third parties
Support the deployment of technology within the customer environment
Responsible for the development of personal technical skills and accreditations to the highest levels alongside vendor technical support teams
Utilise close vendor relationships to gain and provide product knowledge and advise business on exploitation of the technology within their area
Maintains an expert knowledge of all relevant, current and future technology for their business domain

You

Degree in IT
Experience within similar position in a solution architecture role
Strong commercial experience of supporting a variety of IT programmes
Experience in working with/designing large, complex ICT environments
Experience or accreditation in industry standard architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
Strong influencing skills
