What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside the General Manager, Transport Compliance Lead and Planning Manager as part of the site leadership team. You’ll enhance the way people and teams work together with clear lines of accountability and implement an action-oriented and continuous improvement way of working. We want to instil a culture that will make our site a place where colleagues are proud to work at and feel that they can make a difference.
You will be responsible for providing inspiring leadership to your team and managing high performance. Throughout, you’ll bring your leadership methodology and vision, clarity, ability to delegate, and develop your team so that everyone’s operating to their potential.
Who you are
Your logistics background will have given you exposure to a unionised environment as you will be required to work collaboratively to implement change. Your hands-on style will be about empowerment, not micro-management, and you’ll be aware that a role like this focuses on people and treating them inclusively so that they can enjoy what they do. You’ll also have substantial first-hand warehouse and transport knowledge.
