The role will primarily be focussed on customer based analysis and insight making that available across the home delivery function and wider business including but not limited to;
Analysis of customer behaviour to define the optimal delivery proposition for customers, balancing customer choice and operational cost, striving to improve conversion and maximise profitability.
Analysis of customer and operational pain points to drive improvements to the home delivery operation and customer journey.
Supporting the operations and development teams with insight to identify and develop improvements to processes and operations that can drive a customer benefit including supporting strategic change programmes.
So that's what I will be responsible for now onto what I need to have to be successful in this role:
The role at its core is analysis and insight into our data so therefore has to;
Be an excellent analyst, you will have experience in a high paced business environment in turning, often vague business questions into a piece of analysis that will answer the problems behind the original question.
Experience of analysing customer data, ability to identify trends, be familiar with common pitfalls and how to apply rigorous methodologies to get a robust answer.
Strong technically across multiple platforms such as but not limited to Advanced Excel & Microsoft office skills, SQL, R, Python and visualisation software such as Power BI.
Have a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, to be passionate not just about the data but finding the what, why and how.
Be an excellent communicator, credible and articulate with excellent presentation and inter personal skills.
Able to influence at all levels within the organisation, with strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to explain complicated concepts to non-technical audiences in a way that engages stakeholders.
Desirable - Knowledge of logistics operations within retail / home delivery.
