In a nutshell

Bradwell Media Set Builder will be responsible for delivering a high quality Set Building service for all photographic & videography projects across Bradwell Media. Working to briefs or scamps as provided by the client or Art Director, as well as giving guidance/ recommendations on creative build solutions. This person will also work closely with the Bradwell Media Planning and Account Management functions in order to deliver builds in line with tight deadlines and budget. Health and Safety will be at the forefront of the Set Builders mind across all building projects.

What I need to do

Deliver high quality Set Building for all group projects across Photography and videography production.
Build cost estimates (inc materials, resource and time required) for builds against an initial brief, looking for opportunities to minimise cost and maximise quality of output. Finalise costs before the start of build and control costs against budget during the build.
Participate in the planning of content shoots, owning the plan for Set Build for each shoot, ensuring sufficient time for Set Build is incorporated and deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
Procure sufficient set build materials to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget. Often dealing directly with suppliers to negotiate the best possible rates.
Collate & review all Brand guidelines on a regular basis, ensuring that all builds meet these guidelines and criteria.
Build and maintain honest, trusting and collaborative relationship both internally within the studio and with wider business stakeholders. Actively seeking and providing feedback in order to constantly improve your own delivery.
Ensure that Set build projects stringently meet all Health & Safety guidelines.
Operate as part of the Set Build team and wider Creative and Bradwell Media teams. Encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement and collaboration. Proactively identify areas of improvement and implement cost effective solutions.

What I need to know

Must have experience working in building, construction or decorating trades

Must have experience working with power tools

Must have experience of estimating & planning for building & decorating materials

Must have Current clean UK Driving License

Would be beneficial to have experience & knowledge in different Art work techniques (Paint effects, texture effects, metal working, aging techniques)

Would be beneficial to have experience working in a photo studio or film industry set building environment

Would be beneficial to have City & Guilds Wiring Installations

Would be beneficial to have NVQ Health & Safety
