About Habitat

Since 1964, Habitat has been challenging the way people style and shop for their homes. We're an iconic homeware and furniture retailer that's going through exciting times: alongside our three long-standing London flagship stores and extensive website, the brand is thinking big by going small - with a roll out programme planned for 2015 that'll see our Mini Habitat stores grow massively countrywide.

For over 50 years Habitat has created good design that's useful, distinctive and just a little witty. We recognise that today there are more brands than ever selling furniture, but we're strong in our conviction that we're true originals, because almost every piece in our collection is designed by us.

About the Role:

Working as part of a team, you will be a vital support to the Buying team. Learning the product cycle from product briefing to the customer.
Admin is a key element of the role.
You will build relationships with departments such as e-commerce, quality assurance, merchandising and store staff.
You can become involved in negotiations so numeracy and a confident manner are key.

What you will do:

Provide admin support to the Buying Team.
Liaise with internal teams, suppliers & store staff.
Be responsible for extensive competitor research.
Support a number of processes and roll outs in the area.

You are:

Proficient on excel/word/power point
An excellent communicator – confident at all levels and across multiple teams
A logical thinker & problem solver.
An individual with strong numeracy and literacy skills, with great attention to detail.
Organised & efficient
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve.
Have a passion for homewares & upholstery.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Everyone is welcome at the Sainsbury's Group, and we're proud to be an equal opportunities employer that champions a diverse and inclusive culture. If you've read about this fantastic opportunity and are excited about working for us, but you're not sure if you're 100% there with your experience – we'd still love to hear from you! Just make an application and we'll be in touch from there (we're also happy to discuss flexible working options if normal office hours aren't always doable).
