We’re looking for an AD & O365 Architect to join us in our Milton Keynes Head Office. You will be accountable for the IT architecture, delivering AD, Azure AD and 0365 to the business. This is a newly created position and key in delivering value to our colleagues in the Argos business.

What you’ll be doing

Managing a team of 2 AD & O365 Administrators.
Providing the organisation with leadership, design and implementation of the group goals within the AD and O365 environments for the Argos business.
Defining the architecture, design and support of our platforms supporting 2,000+ servers and 50,000+ colleagues.

Overseeing the design for projects, acting as design authority.
Identifying risks inherent to particular technology solutions.
Developing implementation approaches for proposed architecture and assisting the technical teams to implement the design.
Working closely with the EUC, infrastructure and network architects to structure and define an appropriate Group Policy hierarchy, objects, and implementation.
Defining appropriate domain structure, sites, services, trusts, and OU hierarchy to support all elements of end-user, desktop, server, and messaging platforms.
Implementing new automation where possible to enrich AD information, increase security and improve process using PowerShell or other scripting languages.

Signing off technical designs from our delivery partners.
Working with the Group IS Architecture team.
Working with the business, infrastructure and information security teams to implement best practice secure solutions and develop best practice policies and procedures.
Ensuring appropriate levels of consistency with other areas of IS, and adherence to architecture and security standards.
Collaborating with Information Security to mitigate vulnerabilities, define and implement security policies, and support internal PKI/certificate management process.
Maintaining documentation and providing training effectively in collaboration other internal teams

You

Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical filed such as Engineering, Maths, Computer Science, or Information Technology or Equivalent experience
In Depth knowledge of Azure cloud and Office365
Previous experience in a similar role
Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure services running on Microsoft Windows platform (DNS, DHCP, WSUS, O365, Lync, ADFS, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to conduct technical research and produce analysis documents
