As Argos accelerates its journey to reposition itself for a digital future, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Front End Developer to join the rapidly expanding Digital Design Team.

Reporting to the Development Lead you will drive the Front-End Coding implementation of multiple projects by exercising your exceptional skills in HTML (5), CSS (3), JQuery and bootstrap, developing front end, cross-browser templates for websites and mobile platforms.

You will be an effective communicator and be able to liaise and work closely with other high profile teams. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will have a high degree of visibility within the business and the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholder teams (Design, Content, Merchandising, Marketing and Brand).

Skills/Experience:

  • Proven HTML5 and CSS3 experience. Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as bootstrap.
  • Experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
  • Experience with JQuery.
  • Experienced in the implementation of Responsive HTML Email Templates.
  • Excellent communication skills, liaising regularly with key stakeholder teams around the business. Discussing technical solutions, workflow and deadlines.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as SVN/GIT
