A great opportunity has arisen to join the Argos Customer Services Finance Team, which offers a mix of accounting & commercial analysis across Cash, the P&L and Balance sheet as well as line management responsibility for one analyst. It would suit a self-starting individual who would thrive on the opportunity to develop their accounting & commercial skills, gain line management experience, manage their own workload, deliver to tight deadlines and be part of a successful Finance team in an ever changing environment.
As a Finance Analyst your main responsibilities will include:
• Completion of period end management accounts for CS central cost centres (HR, Finance and Development) and Contact Centre OE benefits including relevant balance sheet reconciliations.
• Weekly and monthly cash reporting for total CS (Home Delivery & Contact Centres) including explanation of variances and outturn updates.
• Budgeting & Forecasting.
• Working closely with Contact Centre stakeholders to evaluate and challenge OE performance including monthly review meetings.
• Completion of period end capital employed recharges including providing insight of the variances.
• Report and evaluate capital expenditure for all CS areas.
• Line management and development of a junior Analyst.
Your skills & experience will include:
• Be a graduate calibre, qualified accountant with the drive to continue their development.
• Ability to operate, challenge, communicate and influence effectively at all levels.
• Previous cash experience would be beneficial.
• Adaptable to change with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver accurately to tight deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Essbase, Lawson and Access skills would be beneficial.
• Previous line management experience would be beneficial.
