Orano US:

Corporate Finance department is a North American shared service group that deals with all of the Areva entities in North America. The group works in coordination with BU finance of all Areva entities and organizationally reports to Areva Nuclear Materials LLC.

Job Description:

Orano US is seeking an Accounting Associate I-II for our Lynchburg, VA location .

Responsibilities and duties include:
· Assume responsibility for the full cycle of accounts payable process.
· Demonstrate the ability to fill in at a moment's notice, quickly mastering new systems, processes and workflows
· Resolve months of backlogged work, restored order and organization to processes/records, researched and solved billing problems and corrected invoicing
· Handle the processing, distribution, accuracy verification and maintenance of invoices, interfacing extensively with nationwide network of vendors and suppliers as well as internal employees
· Operate financial computer systems
· Create A/P reports, analyze the data
· Opportunity to learn additional accounting/ finance functions
· Extensive cross-training will be provided
· Expense Audits: process employees request for expense reimbursements according to company’s policy
· Complete various other financial duties as required.

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  H.S. Diploma with 0-2 years of experience in general accounting or related field.
·  Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting and finance.
·  Able to create and generate reports.
·  Proficient in Excel and familiar with advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
·  Self motivated and able to work independently.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·  Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
·  Able to interact with and coordinate with customers.
·  Able to work within customer deadlines.
·  Able to multi-task.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Able to lead process improvements.
·  Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft applications such as Word and Power Point.
·  Knowledge of SAP/ CostPoint financial system.
·  Problem solving skills and attention to details.
