Senior Business Analyst - Finance / Insurance

Job description

The Senior Business Analyst will be required to analyze, define, document business and integration requirements for Finance projects in coordination with technical teams and software developers to propose suitable solution to address the requirements.

Contribute to the implementation, integration and support of applications by determining the project requirements, methodology, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.



Key project scope for this year: roll-out of Health platform in UAE, support Finance department during the roll-out, and stabilize the platform.



Responsibilities:

1. Translate business requirements into functional specification and written SSDs

2. Work closely with solution architect, and software development team (vendors) to ensure the completion of all aspects of business requirement within required scope.

3. Create low level design document/Integration specification including data fields mapping, produce issue RCAs, and data correction.

4. Work Closely with Test Leads to define the test plan, test scripts, technical integration test cases and user acceptance tests in coordination with QA team

5. Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.

6. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

7. Preparation of MOMs, project status, roll-out/Go live communication, system release notes, user manuals, conducts formal training sessions for business users and service delivery team.

8. Lead a team of software developers organize their daily tasks

9. Manage relation with Business Stakeholders, ensure the delivery as per plan, requirements & scope

10. Support Project manager in coordinating other activities related to the project.

11. The job will mostly have finance related tasks in the health LOB (understanding of charts of accounts, payment modes, payables, receivables, VAT, etc..).



Area of Knowledge:

• Business Analysis

• Experience in implementation of new systems / rollouts

• Experience of working with software development teams and technical teams

• Experience in documenting and executing project requirements, scope analysis, and test plans, delivering projects on time and within scope.

• Sound knowledge of the insurance business, insurance accounting and current market knowledge (Payment schedulers, Finance closing, VAT, Tax, etc.)

Desired profile

Business Knowledge:

- Sound knowledge of the insurance business, finance

- Minimum 5 years of working experience in handling P&C/Health/Life insurance (or similar industry) related projects

Additional Knowledge:

- APIs

- Databases

- SQL and PL/SQL

- Cloud (AWS, AZURE)

- Chatbot/Artificial intelligence

- Fintech

Supervisory/Managerial/Leadership Complexity:

- Strong spoken and written communications skills

- Good listening and presentation skills

- Ability to convince peers with IT and Business

- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
