Publishing Rights Sales Support Internship

Arcturus Publishing is a publisher of books for adults and children. We publish art instruction, reference, history, gift, puzzles, and a wide range of books for children. Arcturus is a sales focused globally facing company and works with publishing partners in most countries around the world.

Arcturus are looking to enroll a temporary intern to join our busy International rights and coeditions department. The candidate would report to the Rights & Sales Director and would support both the sales people in the management of support of their customers and also the sales coordinator in the administration of contracts and digital files.

The role will be based in the central London office. Day to day activities will include general administration, working with spreadsheets to provide analysis, organising presentations for sales meetings, and sending customers packages of titles they are interested in. Use of Microsoft office and other database systems will be part of the day to day role.

The role will provide the candidate with a great understanding of the entire publishing process from conception of an idea through to presentation, sales, printing and delivery. Due to the nature of the workflow in the company it will be expected that the candidate will need to communicate frequently with other departments including design, editorial and production and accounts.
