As a Brand Sales Intern, you will join Appear Here Commercial Team on a 6-month basis with the potential of a permanent position at the end. Your role is to develop and build our portfolio of brands. You will be responsible for building awareness of Appear Here's platform amongst UK brands and evangelising about the benefits using short term retail space as part of a brand's broader commercial strategy. Retail is changing, and you will be responsible for selling brands on how short-term retail space can have a hugely positive impact on their business - whether that’s to increase long term brand awareness or to promote short term revenues. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of our UK property inventory and will be responsible for recommending appropriate space to your portfolio of brands as it becomes available. You will make large volumes of outbound correspondences per day (80 - 100+) so you should be high energy, comfortable picking up the telephone and have a passion for brands & retail.
Hit the phones to track down new brands and cultivate relationships with existing brands to encourage them to utilise available space on our platform.
Develop sales strategies to promote new uses for short term retail space.
Be creative in finding new brands, both on the streets and online.
Research brands marketing and commercial strategy and creatively find ways to promote the use of short term retail space.
Respond to inbound enquiries from prospective brands in the UK, taking them through the Appear Here process.
Work with a Brand Account Manager to help close transactions on the platform.
Chip in and support on other projects or tasks that come up in the business.
Find ways to improve our processes and regularly bring your ideas to the table.
You will be an early member on the 15 strong Commercial Team which is responsible for all aspects of driving and increasing transactions on the AH platform. You will be working with a high energy, outgoing team who genuinely enjoy the work they do. Our background is from a variety of tech start-ups and property companies. We’ve worked in market leading global property companies and we’ve helped build billion dollar tech companies — and now we plan to build a billion dollar global prop-tech company! We generally have music on in the commercial room and often stay late or work the odd weekend if we need to. The team works hard because we love what we do, and we want you to as well.
