What's the UX Designer role all about?

We are looking for a unique kind of designer. A designer with intelligence, an eye for detail and a passion for UI/UX. Do you place elements on a web page with thought, consideration and justification?

Working with a small team of passionate designers you’ll understand the research provided at the start of a project and use it to create considered design for our customers. Achieving a design that works requires an iterative process - working closely with other designers, project owners, PMs, developers, optimisation teams, content writers, product specialists, analytic teams & sometimes even our CEO. To do this you’ll need to be self-motivated to meet challenging deadlines with a ‘can do’ attitude.

What will my responsibilities as aUX Designer be?

- Taking on projects seeing through from beginning to end

- Wireframing

- Creating prototypes and mock ups

- Designing in photoshop

- Presenting to stakeholders

- Orchestrating the changes to the website in order to give our customers the very best experience

What skills do I NEED to have to be successful as a UX Designer?

- You’ll understand the commercial impact of the work you do and be on the bleeding edge of UX best practice principles and be confident in leading and trying new UX methods.

- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop

- Ability to rapidly create wireframes to communicate and solidify your ideas

- Highly creative with a strong sense of design and aesthetics

- Excellent conceptual, layout, colour and typographic skills

- Ability to follow brand guidelines

Nice to have?

- Working knowledge of CSS and HTML

- Understanding of JavaScript / JQuery

- Knowledge of site speed and optimisation techniques

- Related degree or equivalent experience

- Experience of AB/MV testing methods
