We are a small e-commerce business, selling antique maps and prints online through our own website, as well as through ebay and Amazon.
We have a salaried, permanent, full-time role available as a Gallery Assistant. The role is office-based in London, NW10.

The role may include a number of different responsibilities according to your aptitude and background. Core responsibilities include order fulfilment & customer service. Additional responsibilities may include image processing, care/restoration of maps/prints; researching, describing and pricing inventory items, sourcing stock.
* Picking and packing customer orders. We sell old maps and prints - the items we sell are made of paper, and are not heavy, but they may be fragile and require careful handling and packing. Items are stored in an office (not a warehouse) environment
* Some items may require some attention/minor restoration before dispatch (training provided)
* Responding promptly to customer enquiries through various channels including email, phone, ebay and Amazon messaging systems.
* Ordering of supplies
The role would be suitable for someone with a background in art, antiques and/or ecommerce.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate an educational or professional background in (or affinity with) art, antiques, ecommerce or order fulfilment. Experience of working in an office environment/use of a PC and common Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook) etc is important. Any experience of digital image editing software (Photoshop, Corel Paintshop), and any practical background as an artist would be helpful but is non-essential.
