aBV Sub Agent

aBV is a fully integrated joint venture between Amey and Black and Veatch. The co-located aBV team provide management, design, and construction services and in alliance with Scottish Water are delivering the Wastewater Infrastructure programme in Scotland.

The Wastewater Infrastructure programme involves £360m investment over an initial six year period, with an option for this to be extended for a further six years. The programme work scope includes the design and construction of: new sewers, sewer upsizing/repairs, storage tanks, CSO structures, storm tanks, and pumping stations. The aBV joint venture office is based in Pavilion 2 at the Buchanan Gate Business Park, Stepps, G33 6FB

Due to the success of this JV we are now entering a second phase of recruitment. We are currently looking to employ multiple Sub Agents across the Central Belt of Scotland. Your main focus as a Sub Agent will be to support the management of construction delivery in a safe and timely manner. You will utilise your previous experiences and skills to:

• Supervise sub-contractors, contract staff and direct labour
• Assist with the programming of works
• Ensure effective and efficient utilisation of resources
• Identify and communicate performance issues
• Promote and implement safe working practices
• Take control of the management and procurement of materials and supply chain
• Manage projects and KPI metrics

As a Sub Agent with aBV you will be expected to use your project management and supervisory skills to act as the number two on a large project, whilst having the capability to look after smaller projects by yourself. You will be educated to HND/Degree level in Civil Engineering or equivalent with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will be driven by customer satisfaction, health and safety and delivering results. Experience and knowledge within waste water is desirable.
