Job description

As a part of our Propriety Card Engagement Marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to deliver on our brand promise and execute compelling marketing campaigns to meet the customer needs today as well as those of the future. At American Express, our marketing groups provide customers with access to products, insights and experiences that enhance lives and build business success.

This role is responsible for managing and executing end-to end marketing campaigns, leveraging and sharing results and effectively maintaining marketing channels across Australia & New Zealand. The role will focus on extending American Express' leading positon in mobile payment technology, by deepening engagement into Apple Pay, Samsung Pay & Android Pay. This will be done using a range of communication touch points (both above & below the line), incentives, and effectively partnering with each of the three wallet providers.

The role will also support initiatives to drive growth in the New Zealand market, focused on Card Member engagement treatments communicating the benefits of American Express Membership to New Zealand Card Members. With a digital-first mindset, the successful candidate will regularly interact with central marketing teams, external vendors, capability & technology teams and advertising agencies to effectively drive business outcomes. This role will suit someone who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced, and results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution and assisting in the ongoing management of all elements of marketing communications including 360 ATL & BTL campaign integration and optimisation with a strong focus on innovative digital channels

• Increasing NZ Card Member loyalty, engagement & retention through assisting in the delivery of innovative customer treatments, with a particular focus on deepening engagement into rewards programs.

• Collaborating with the partner marketing & PR teams at Apple, Samsung & Google to develop customer marketing initiatives to support mobile wallet engagement.

• Track performance & impact of mobile wallet marketing activities

• Assisting with ownership of customer-facing digital channels and assets with an ongoing commitment to improving the customer experience

• Supporting the Public Affairs team with responses to customer and media queries regarding mobile payments where needed

• Adherence to control and compliance requirements.

Desired profile

Qualifications :
• Tertiary qualification in marketing or business discipline preferred
• Background in marketing execution or campaign management across all channels with a strong focus on digital innovation and asset creation
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines, and providing ongoing updates to all necessary stakeholders
• Experience assisting with creative and digital agencies for end-to-end marketing executions
• A self-motivator who takes initiative when faced with a challenge
• Customer focused and results oriented, with the ability to build effective internal and external partnerships to drive business outcomes
• A flexible team player with a positive attitude who is comfortable working in dynamic environment
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
• Superior written & oral communications skills
