This project focused role supports the execution of Human Resources initiatives in Canada. Key priorities include reinforcing and supporting the employee experience across the market, talent planning, and employee engagement initiatives. In addition, this role may work on unique projects for specific lines of business or that may impact across various lines of businesses.
- Works with Market HR leadership to execute the Market Employee Plan based on the market's annual priorities. These areas of focus will include local talent planning, supporting day to day LOB needs, Employee Engagement & Advocacy, and creating the “You and Amex” employee experience.
- Supports integration for all HR activity in the Market. Requires alignment with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and Business Leaders.
- Executes Market specific HR projects, as needed, as guided by data and business insights
- Provides on-the-ground support for employees in the Canada as assigned

Desired profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills & qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR experience with broad knowledge of HR practice
- Demonstrated project management skills: ability to manage multiple, complex projects, events, and tasks, and prioritize accordingly
- Ability to analyze data in clear, organized format and report out key findings
- Demonstrated internal and external relationship management skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter and proactive in nature
