The Merchant Experience Coverage & Training (MECT) team builds the core and strategic capabilities of the GMS Sales and Client Management organizations by creating innovative and value-added change management, communication, learning and development solutions. This includes programs to support new hire orientation, product knowledge, soft skills, leadership development and systems and process learning.

The Manager, Training Design & Development will need to develop a deep understanding of the needs and daily challenges of the sales and client management teams within Global Merchant Services to design practical learning solutions that help these teams to expand and win business. He or she will also need to be able to synthesize complicated and nuanced subjects into easy to understand learning solutions delivered in the most appropriate format for the topic.

The Manager, Training Design & Development will be responsible for developing measurement and evaluation plans, administering the learning management system, and project management of initiatives. The Manager, Training Design & Development should have instructional design experience across all formats and media, including in-person, virtual, video, podcast, mobile e-learning applications design, gaming solutions, social media collaboration.

He or she should have a nuanced understanding of the adult learning environment and actively bring new innovations and ideas to the team. He or she should also be able to spend at least one day a week in the London office.

Desired profile

Requirements:

·  Knowledge of and ability to apply adult learning theory.
·  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
·  Ability to work through ambiguity to solve problems.
·  Advanced proficiency using instructional design tools – Articulate Storyline, Adobe eLearning Suite and Master Collection, Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Premier Pro.
·  Advanced proficiency using using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Outlook.
·  Strong attention to detail, especially in communication skills.
·  Membership and/or certification in professional organizations are highly desired (e.g., ASTD, SHRM, NBCC, etc.)
·  Ability to develop eLearning programs that are SCORM/AICC compliant.
·  Proficient working knowledge with LMSs and LCMSs. Experience
·  Related instructional design experience, preferably for a sales or client-facing organization. Payments industry, financial services or banking industry experience a plus.
·  Experience designing and developing comprehensive courses and evaluation plans that incorporate adult education principles to deliver practical learning solutions with real world relevance.
·  Experience working with global teams/organizations in a matrixed environment. Education
·  Bachelor's degree required.
·  Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Education, Organization Development, Human Resource Development, Adult Learning, or other related areas preferred
