Job description

At US Loyalty we are defining a new way to reward consumers for everyday loyalty by offering them personalized opportunities to shop and earn rewards. The Lead Programmer Analyst position will be responsible for the development of analytic capabilities within the US Loyalty organization. These capabilities will enable the execution of business strategies supporting campaign management, model development, segmentation, offer scoring, selection, targeting, and adhoc analytics.

Key Responsibilities Include:
· Provide analytic and technical leadership from a data architecture and programming perspective to support business analysis and marketing assessment capabilities.
· Work with modeling analysts to improve customer segmentation, variable selection and behavioral modeling methodologies
· Responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing and adherence to technical compliance standards.
· Works with Analysts/business partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
· Drive the adoption of new ideas, techniques, and technologies to advance analytical capabilities
· Drive process automation and improvement to ensure flawless and timely execution for all analytic processes.
· Perform as a technical subject matter expert for the platform/applications supported (which may cover multiple applications)..
· Own support, trouble shooting, and issue resolution to ensure high availability of the analytic capabilities.
· Drive effective data quality checks and proactively identify and correct any data issues.
· Manage and own work flow for assigned functions and become a subject matter expert in the business domain areas supported.

Desired profile

Qualifications:
·  Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (or has equivalent work experience).
·  3+ years experience in the development of business applications; must be able to follow through on multiple concurrent projects, show proven ability to work independently, and manage ongoing change effectively
·  Strong experience with Data Warehousing environments is required. Proficiency with SQL is required, and experience with Oracle or Teradata preferred.
·  Advanced skills programming in SAS and/or Hadoop, MapReduce, and related frameworks and components such as Hive, Hbase, Pig, etc.
·  Ability to analyze and understand data, diagnose, research and drive resolution of data issues on very large data stores.
·  Must be a self starter and drive key processes, while working well in a team environment as a key innovator and thought leader.
·  Ability to communicate in a clear and compelling manner, in both business and technical terms, to a variety of business partners, customers, and leadership.
·  Proven ability to translate business specification into technical requirements.
·  Detail orientation with strong conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
·  Highly customer-focused and results-oriented with proven ability to innovate.
·  Demonstrated ability to think outside the box to develop solutions to complex issues and drive results.
