Job description

American Express Travel Related Services seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to support our ongoing efforts to maintain the highest levels of availability and continuously improve the American Express network and voice infrastructure, and availability and performance across our global network and voice infrastructure. Candidate will be responsible for switching and routing troubleshooting on our world-class network infrastructure. Maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for our data networks on a daily and on-call basis, including data centers, campus LAN and global WAN networks, as well as daily monitoring and routine break-fix duties.

Desired profile

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related technical field and Cisco certification in CCNP, plus one year of progressively responsible experience designing and supporting large scale datacenter networks. Experience must include use of routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Experience with and expert knowledge of switching technologies, including Spanning tree, Port Channels, OTV, VPCs, and protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP and SSL, is required. Must have experience with routing and switching platforms, including Cisco 6500, Cisco 4500, Cisco 7200, Cisco ASR 1000, Cisco Nexus 7000, Nexus 5000, and Nexus 2000. Experience with F5 and Citrix Application delivery controllers is required. Experience also must include Riverbed and Cisco WAN accelerators, and practical knowledge of security infrastructure, including Firewalls and IPSEC/SSL VPNs. Must also have experience in analyzing and troubleshooting ISO credit card transactions message types.
