Job description
Global Treasury Controllership (GTC) is responsible for providing comprehensive transactional support, accounting & reporting for various Treasury related areas such as cash, debt, derivatives, investments, fair value, intercompany loans, and other comprehensive income. The Middle Office is a key component of GTC and is responsible for providing Trade Support, Trade Capture, P&L Attribution, and Analytics for various Treasury related products.
The primary goal of the Middle Office is to lead and support various organization-wide efforts to align all Global Treasury Operations teams and provide value added services. The Financial Analyst will support the Middle Office team in all Treasury related transactions; i.e. confirmation, settlement tracking, trade capture, trade reconciliation, and accounting. In addition, the Analyst will be involved in P&L attribution, value adding daily analytics, and projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Perform daily Trade Support functions supporting Inter-company loans, debt, derivatives, fair value hedges, and investment transactions
· Manage all aspects of securities settlement
· Perform daily Trade Capture for debt, investments, and derivatives
· Maintain static data and manage product testing and system configuration in our Treasury Management Systems
· Provide value adding analytics (i.e. Debt & Liquidity Profile) to support internal partners
· Contribute to Key Performance and Risk Issue metrics
· Monitor, report and provide market commentary
· Adhere to organizational Operational Risk governance by proactively identifying and mitigating operational risk
Desired profile
• Bachelor's degree required (Finance or Accounting discipline preferred)
• Product/Process knowledge with a focus on Treasury related activities
• Experience managing and analyzing data, trade details, and P&L attributes
• Strong analytical skills, ability to solve complex issues
• 1-4 years of Financial Accounting or related experience with Financial Markets acumen
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. Bloomberg experience is a plus
• Prior experience with Front Office, GL systems a plus
