Job description
The Internal Audit Group (IAG) is a worldwide function with over 200 team members and offices in 7 countries. We are comprised of assurance and risk professionals with diverse backgrounds including internal controls, consumer compliance, technology, operational risk, financial accounting and banking operations. The IAG organization consists of 14 audit teams aligned with the business units and staff groups along with a professional practice and quality assurance team and a reporting and regulator relations team. All teams report into the General Auditor who reports directly to the American Express Company Audit and Risk Committee and administratively to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
The Internal Audit Group is looking for a proactive, energetic, intelligent and dedicated individual that can integrate well into a very busy and dynamic environment. This organization has a vast network of partnerships and customers throughout American Express and is in need of an Administrative Support Professional with the ability to engage effectively with all levels and areas of the company, operate efficiently within varying tasks and deadlines, and above all demonstrates the ability to function with energy, enthusiasm and a will to win. This role will provide general administrative support to one band 50, one band 45, and backup support to one band 70 PGA and Chief Audit Executive. This role would work with a team of 4 other Assistants which collectively provide support to the Internal Audit Group VP's based in New York.
Primary Responsibilities include day-to-day Administrative Support, including:
• Calendar Management
• Meeting Coordination
• Expense Management
• Travel Arrangement
• Document/Presentation Creation and Editing
• Other Administrative Support Tasks

Desired profile
• Office Experience a Must, Amex Experience Preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications Skills Required Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with very strong office administration skills
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision
• Ability to be proactive and anticipate the needs of an extremely dynamic office
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred, specifically Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word
• Proficiency in Ariba procurement, and Concur Expense Management systems required.
• Must work well in a team-centric environment
• Ability to take a common-sense approach to problem solving
• Excellent relationship skills
