Job description
Reporting to the VP of Middle Market, this Director position is responsible for leading a dynamic Inside Sales Team made up 27 Sales managers and 3 Sales Leaders. The focus of the team is to sell and cross sell American Express Global Payment Solutions into Canadian midsized Businesses. Build partnerships internally/externally and deliver aggressive growth while building strong team engagement.
Core Responsibilities:
· Lead a high performing B2B Sales team – while maintaining a motivating work environment
· Develop strategies that focus on generating wins in targeted industry/revenue segments
· Ensure strong sales pipeline fundamentals exist across all levels of the team
· Leverage and build d strong working relationships across Marketing, Operations, Risk and Merchant Services – while partnering with each of these stakeholders on driving initiatives aimed at securing new business
· Continuously improve and develop the talent across the team through initiatives that include training, best practice development and sharing, peer group benchmarking etc
· Maintain a strong environment of accountability that is monitored by Scorecards and key metric tracking on all critical Sales and Partnership activities
· Maintain and develop relationships with peer Inside Sales leaders in other global regions
· Contribute to the Strategic direction of the overall Middle Market GCP business in Canada

Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Preferred 2-3 years of B2B Sales / Inside Sales leadership experience – with a focus on Business to Business selling
· Proven ability to develop, communicate and successfully execute a dynamic sales strategy
· Proven ability to lead a team of individual contributors and leaders
· Strong ability to partner with key internal stakeholder groups – and develop metrics to monitor the success of those partnerships
· Proven track record of identifying, hiring and developing talent – while providing ongoing performance management across a large sales team
· Strong communication, analytical and strategic skills
· Demonstrated ability to motivate and sustain a high energy and committed working environment
· Proven ability to act as an escalation point for securing key deals, solving client issues or managing internal issues
