The exciting opportunity is within the Merchant Review Team, in Fraud Protection Services, supporting the German Market. The successful applicant will be reviewing and investigating held funds that American Express have held for Risk purposes, liaising with our Merchant, requesting support and with our internal business areas, to ensure that a thorough investigation is completed before releasing the funds.
The successful applicant will be required to make outbound and received inbound calls and managed a very high volume of email traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

· Managing your daily allocations of new cases, along with follow-ups and suspense
· Minimise fraud loss exposure for Amex through investigation of Merchant held funds
· Completing a thorough investigations via a number of systems in order to come to a conclusion whether to release or hold funds
· Making outbound calls to Merchants to gain additional support where applicable
· Ensuring the impact to the Merchant account is kept to a minimum
· Ensure Compliance requirements are met on a monthly basis
The role will be Monday to Friday, core business hours.

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Ability to deal with sensitive issues/complaints is essential
·  Ability to work alone when appropriate and meet deadlines on assigned allocations
·  Fluent in German Language essential
·  Additional language would be an advantage but not essential
