User Experience Designer (London)

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to join our Amazon Development Centre team in London, England. You will be highly motivated with proven user interface, experience and visual design skills, and have created elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet business needs and influence future product direction. You will have strong creative and technical ability, a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Your team will own the business, technology and operations, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, paper mock-ups testing, wireframe creation, through to final high-fidelity design and implementation.

You will have extensive experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role. You will have a portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-cantered design solutions, including rich interaction design.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience in related experience
· Proficiency in a variety of low and high fidelity design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Balsamiq
· Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
· Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
· Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
· Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web and web-based devices
· Visual design expertise demonstrated through high fidelity mock-ups and style guides
· Strong written and verbal English communications skills
