This position is based at the Amazon office in Gdansk, Poland

As a TTS Language Engineer / Research Scientist Intern you will work alongside TTS Language Engineers, Software Developers and Scientists who are subject matter experts in speech synthesis and related fields. You are expected to have solid knowledge of linguistics, in particular knowledge of phonetics/phonology, backed-up with knowledge of machine/deep learning techniques. You will be working on a variety of tasks to improve the technology behind our TTS (text-to-speech) voices.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of phonetics/phonology
- Knowledge of machine/deep learning
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
- Knowledge of regular expressions
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux command line tools
