DESCRIPTION

CloudFormation provides AWS customers with a way to automate the provisioning, updating and management their infrastructure by defining it in a declarative template.

Working on the CloudFormation team is a great place to get experience working across the breath of AWS services (including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB), while working on a rapidly evolving product that is growing quickly and has become a critical tool for customers who rely on AWS.

We are looking for a talented, motivated and passionate systems development engineers who are interested in owning large scalable distributed systems, infrastructure automation and working with the different AWS service APIs.

On the CloudFormation team you will:
· Operate services that are used by thousands of customers
· Create automation to manage globally distributed systems and infrastructure
· Monitor and improve application dashboards, metrics, and logs to improve detection of anomalies and bottlenecks
· Build and improve tooling for automated testing, deployments and rollbacks

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
· Programming experience in Perl or Python
· Experience supporting 24x7 online environments
· 2+ years experience with infrastructure automation
· Indepth knowlage of Linux
· Familiarity with Internet protocols
· Ability to solve problems with automated, extensible techniques
