DESCRIPTION

The EC2 Windows business is a dynamic fast growing business that serves developers and enterprise customers to run Windows workloads on AWS. The EC2 Windows team is responsible for driving the growth of this business by deeply understanding our customer's needs and working to make it easy and affordable for customers to run their Windows workloads on AWS. The business is looking for an experienced System Engineer with strong software development experience who will help the business drive forward.

In this role, you will:

· Help business define and ship innovative features and experiences for customers.
· Develop automated toolsets to enable customers for self-service.
· Develop scripts and programs that will qualify Windows OS platform and system deployments.
· Understand Windows internals and help with defining Windows behavior on different hypervisors.
· Troubleshoot complicated performance issues and build solutions for best performance improvement.
· Help drive operational efficiency for the EC2 Windows service.
· Mentor junior system development engineers.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Passion for delivering a great customer experience.
· Highly developed and proven PowerShell and C# skills.
· Strong knowledge of Windows OS and troubleshooting tools.
· Experience with Windows and Windows related technologies including networking, identity and storage.
· Experience with Windows internal and kernel debugging and different virtualization platforms.
· Results oriented.
· Has the innate ability to inspire passion in others.
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
