Deadline is a cross-platform render farm management tool used by tens of thousands of people around the world. Deadline offers its clients the ability to efficiently distribute rendering tasks among a large pool of local machines or by utilizing popular cloud computing services.

Our 3D software technologies are focused on the creation, management, rendering and meshing of point clouds. One of our major products is "Krakatoa". Krakatoa is used by hundreds of studios and artists around the world to create volumetric smoke, fire, and other simulation FX.

AWS Thinkbox technology has been used in feature films such as: Adrift, NextGen, Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them, Wonder Woman, Independence Day 2, Aquaman, Batman vs Superman, Ex Machina, The Martian, and many more.
Job Description As a Support Engineer at AWS Thinkbox, you will be expected to work with customers to solve unique problems and build unique solutions. You will help our customer integrate Deadline into their existing pipelines, help design new ones with AWS Services, and drive change in our products. We're expecting you to be eager to grow in a fast-paced environment and be excited by using technology.

There will be a regular mix of IT, research, and creative problem solving of complex customer problems. You'll use those skills engaged with customers via e-mail and phone conversations, then scale those solutions. For example, creating end-user documents, building new tools using the appropriate technologies and help AWS Thinkbox make better products.

As a member of the AWS Thinkbox Engineering team, you will be also be generating and collecting service metrics, working on support projects that require a limited scope or are well documented, and preparing reports for review by the wider organization.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· College or university degree, or equivalent industry experience
· IT background with a focus on software deployment, networking, and maintenance
· Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast paced environment with the ability to divide a problem into core components
· Proven documentation skills in describing deployment processes and troubleshooting
· Ability to read and troubleshoot source code
· Linux, Mac, and Windows experience
