Interested in Amazon Echo and Alexa? Come work with the Alexa Personality Experience Design team! Our team combines creativity and compassion with technology, inventing and building new voice-forward Alexa interactions and experiences that engage and delight our customers in brand new ways.

The Amazon Alexa team is looking for a talented person to drive end-to-end product ideation, prompt & conversation design and implementation in the Alexa Personality space. You must be an innovator, since you will be expected to originate new interaction paradigms for exciting and ambitious ideas for which no standards currently exist. You must be extremely proactive, because you will regularly find yourself in uncharted territory where the key to your success will be to get ahead of the curve. You must be a collaborator, as you will be working side-by-side with product managers, VUI designers and engineers to bring your ideas and experiences to life. You must be a pragmatic visionary who can translate business needs into leading-edge customer-focused solutions.

As a member of a growing creative team, you will also be responsible for helping prioritize the team's work and magnifying the impact of the team's output across organizational boundaries.

We're looking for someone who can:
· Craft successful conversational voice interactions and compelling spoken prompts
· Collaborate on a team that writes jokes, songs and stories, as well as guides the complex, developing relationship between the user and Alexa
· Understand the nuances of a personified AI, and how that affects the way interactions are crafted
· Empathize with the customer and craft an appropriate experience
· Infuse interactions with the light humor and wit that has become a hallmark of Alexa, when appropriate
· Initiate and support the development of new product ideas
· Provide ongoing support for projects delivering enhancements to existing interactions/experiences (study, refine, test, develop, implement, repeat!)
· Help define and maintain the enterprise standards for AI personification
· Continually seek to understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems with which you'll be working

Deliverables in this role would include:
· Identification of use cases and opportunities to engage customers
· Proposals and/or storyboards of prospective experiences
· Sketches of proposed interaction flows
· Conversational prompts, both short-form and long-form
· Documentation providing rationale and data behind decisions

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, Linguistics, Communications, Emerging Media, Human-Computer Interactions, or related fields
· 4+ years of creative writing experience, including character development
