DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an innovative Store Designer to join the Store Design and Construction Team. This position will be responsible for the implementation and customization of brand design standards. This position will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams at many levels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and has a deep passion for innovative retail design. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with creating world-class shopping experiences for our customers at both the micro and macro level. Outstanding project management and communication skills, both written and verbal are required.

The role’s key responsibilities will include:
· Translating brand design standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way
· Completing test fits and feasibility studies for your designs
· Working with key internal and external stakeholders in the production of comprehensive design development packages
· Creating presentation packages as needed to communicate design
· Communicating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
· Driving and creating Schematic Design Packages
· Archiving completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings
· Providing Construction Administrative support as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of current sustainability trends and practices preferred

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in architecture or interior design
· 7+ years of experience in Architecture or Retail Design
· Architecture/ Retail Design; Design Development, Construction / Permit Documentation; Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp software. InDesign and Photoshop experience a plus.
· Demonstrated ability in industry trends, building and health codes, 3D visualization, and color and design principles
· Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats
· The ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment
· The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills
· Proven track record of owning project from start to finish – self-starter and self-directed
· Proactive and flexible attitude; willingness to take an “all hands on deck” approach
