To support our rapid growth, we need an exceptional Senior Program Manager to lead our Human Resources Leadership Development program (HRLDP), a program designed to hire and develop high potential graduates with MBA or Masters level education, undergraduate students and interns from universities with HR or related disciplines to fuel the pipeline of differentiated HR talent at the Sr. HR Leadership levels. The Sr. HRLDP Program Manager role has high visibility and in partnership with the organization's most senior HR leaders, will develop a vision for the AWS HR Leadership Development program that aligns with business strategy and strengthens one of the most important talent pipelines for the AWS HR organization.
The Sr. HRLDP Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of the early career Human resources talent program including the campus hiring strategy, talent development and strategic design and execution of the 24-month rotational program. The Sr. Program Manager must be able to build and sustain strategic external partnerships with universities to build a pipeline of early career HR talent hiring. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with HR leaders, AWS Talent Acquisition, and Central Student Programs to build out programs in support of early career talent pipeline strategies. This leader will influence campus relations strategies, lead both existing and new programs to engage student talent, and identify diversity recruiting strategies to expand incoming talent pipelines for early career HR talent.

Additionally, the HRLDP program manager will set the vision, strategy and execution for the talent development of program designed accelerate HRLDP participants’ development by gaining crucible experiences over a 24-month roadmap consisting of one 12 month specialist assignment (Employee Relations, Inclusion and Diversity, Learning & Development, Compensation, Talent Development, HR Operations, or HR Business Intelligence) and one 12 month customer-facing assignment as a strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP).
The best candidate will draw on extensive knowledge of leadership development, organization development, talent management and talent acquisition to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to make this program successful. This is a key leadership role within the AWS HR organization.

Responsibilities include:
· Define the three-year vision for the HR Leadership Development program and create a working backwards roadmap that aligns deliverables with strategic priorities.
· Collaborate with internal and external teams to build early career talent strategies including but not limited to: rotational program design, campus relationships, partnerships with program development, and diversity strategies to build new pipelines for hiring early career and student talent.
· Manage customer expectations and business goals, developing the right mechanisms and successful recruiting channels.
· Identify customer needs and develop working backwards plans; responsible for writing and delivering strategy documents and to establish programs including setting deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or master’s degree in a related field
· Experience with root cause analysis and process design
· Talent Management, Leadership Development or related HR experience
· Experience managing multi-functional teams
· Experience in planning and managing large, cross-functional efforts
· Experience leading a global team
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
· Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills
· Experience working with cross functional teams
· Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 8+ years in product, program, or project management
· 8+ years of HR experience
· Experience in a business environment with the practical application of leadership development, organization development, and talent management
· Experience in assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, and measuring and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of learning and talent programs
