Amazon.com is looking for brilliant Learning Manager to create world-class learning solutions for our internal transportation employees. In this position, you will be an architect and leader in creating and improving learning products that foster the development of truck drivers, and associated support management (like Driver Managers, Safety, Compliance, and Dispatch/Scheduling teams).
As our Learning Manager, you will create innovative blended learning experiences for a variety of internal drivers, and internal transportation support teams. The use of more blended, virtual, self-directed and experiential learning models will be emphasized over traditional classroom delivery, so adaptability and creativity will be important.
In this role you will 1) be very hands-on; working directly with subject matter experts, process owners, and stakeholders to research, define, curate, and produce extraordinary training content and SOPs by diving deep into driver-facing processes and standard work; 2) create and deliver train-the-trainer learning sessions as appropriate for the delivery strategy for both experienced trainers and leaders-as-teachers, and serve as a role model for excellent instructional facilitation and develop those capabilities in others; 3) work with a variety of vendors and learning and development teams to effectively use and implement various learning technologies, including learning management systems, knowledge libraries and mobile app based learning micro-learning solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Translate business needs into training curriculum and content in support of the field and their requirements for success. Work with stakeholders in the field to design and develop this content.
· Identify and develop appropriate and safe standardized operating procedures in partnership with SMEs
· Apply best-practice design skills to create proof-of-concepts, mockups, and prototypes
· Rapidly produce multiple iterations of stakeholder presentations and instructional solutions
· Ensure that training is tracked and recorded, including progress and skill sets.
· Create, manage and update training content
· Administer methods for gathering and tracking training metrics.
· Analyze and understand field performance data to suggest improvements for training
· Generate weekly project communications such as project status updates
· Travel up to 25% to partner with field teams, drivers, assess program impact and gain feedback
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree required in relevant field (e.g. Instructional Design)
· 5+ years of hands-on content development
· 3+ years of experience designing and creating web-based and/or video training for adult audiences
· 3+ years of experience developing training materials (such as job aids; instructor-led training; facilitator guides; online tutorials; etc.) for the purposes of adult learning
· 3+ years of experience in an eLearning/instructional design role
· Program Management experience that includes managing multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives
