We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our North America Supply Chain and Transportation Operation Management (TOM) team in Seattle, WA. The Sr. HR Assistant is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to our TOM associates and drivers. This role will partner with our Human Resources Business partners, our site Human Leaders, and TOM Leaders and Support Teams to help execute our people initiatives and provide great internal customer service. You will utilize a variety of software tools to navigate customer requests, research and review policies, as well as communicate effective solutions in a fun and fast paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
· Manage a case system and answer calls to respond to driver needs
· Provide support to Driver Support Services teams and field teams for driver issues that get called in
· Reprioritize workload and responsibilities in a sometimes ambiguous environment
· Help write standard work for both the internal team as well as field teams
· Deliver consistent customer support, including verification and follow through
· Assist in performance review program for hourly employees to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization
· Assist in plant worker's compensation program including accident investigation, maintenance of the OSHA log, and accident reporting to the insurance carrier
· Maintain accurate attendance records for all hourly associates and prepare disciplinary write-ups as necessary
· Maintain good employee relations through effective communication and prompt attention to associate concerns
· Maintain a positive, customer focused attitude at all times
· Provide key HR input into the development of TOM strategy goals
· Assist internal customers with benefits, orientation, and stock inquiries
· Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
· Liaison with department managers, safety coordinators and external TOM vendors (Foley)
· Coordinate plant safety program including written programs, training, and committee activities to ensure local and federal requirements are met

· Ability to travel up to 20% to support a trainings, initiatives for the Organization
ADMINISTRATIVE:
· Ensure data integrity in HRIS (PeopleSoft) systems
· Daily maintenance of HRIS systems: updating employee information, Benefits Enrollments, etc
· Ensure associates are paid correctly including monitoring site specific wages changes
· Provide frequent customer service regarding payroll, benefits, scheduling, etc
· Provide support to internal TOM customer teams including orientation, roster management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
· Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access (please bring samples of work to interview)
· Previous experience with Payroll Systems, HRIS
· 3+ years' exposure to the human resources functions
· Ability to empathize with and prioritize customer needs
· Able to maintain composure and ownership during stressful communications
· Clear and concise communication skills
· Agile and adaptable, particularly as programs and procedures change Can adapt well in an environment through changes in circumstances, direction, and strategy
· Critical thinker, especially as applied to determining customer needs and providing appropriate solutions
· Perform ambiguous tasks without direct guidance and have the ability to suggest actions with limited information
· Effective time management and multitasking skills
· Work well in a team environment
· Proven success in a fast paced support environment
· Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree
· Flexibility to work overtime both in peak season and as needed
· Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
