We are looking for a Sr. BI Engineer to be a part of the UK Insights & Innovation organization, who would lead BI & Data Analytics to drive actionable insights for UK and EU stakeholders.

Our success depends on our ability to manage and analyze the data that that we generate as well as curating external data sources for identifying the right resources for Amazon. This position requires the ability to dive deep large amounts of data, have a great business sense, and the desire to influence key strategic decisions with data-driven analysis. Working within the business teams and collaborating with key stakeholders across UK, EU and globally, you will have the opportunity to design and implement features to enhance the experience of Amazon customers.

The Sr. BIE will work directly with a diverse team including business leaders, as well as other data engineers and scientists. As highlighted above, we work on a diverse set of topics and an ideal candidate would be able to handle a high level of ambiguity, a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects/ work streams at a time.
As a Sr. BI Engineer in the UK Insights and Innovation team, your responsibilities will include
· Engage stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data and scripting Design, develop, and implement scalable, automated processes for big data extraction, processing, and analysis
· Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL
· Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
· Be a thought leader on new technologies that can help drive business objectives
· Document business requirements and solutions for technical and general business audiences
· Mentor and train teammates on best practices in data extraction/manipulation, automation scripting, and analytics.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and judgement, intense curiosity, strong technical skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills. He/she will have a strong bias toward data driven decision making. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance
· Professional experience in a business analyst role
· Demonstrated strength in SQL and Python
· Knowledge of Tableau
· Experience working for an international e-commerce company
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
· Proven ability to convert data into communicable business insights, problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
· Proficient with Tableau
