Wed-Sat - 18:30pm - 5am

Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Sortation Supervisor to support the Area Manager in driving innovation and execution of the operation. You should have the drive to motivate a team of individuals to meet targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals. You should be prepared to take responsibility for tracking the work flow of a team and work alongside the Area Manager to highlight and rectify issues as they arise.

Your responsibilities:

As a Sortation Supervisor, the team will be looking to you for motivation, inspiration and constructive feedback. The kind of guidance that drives their productivity and desire to meet and exceed targets. Together, you'll excel in maximising the efficiency of our growing, world-class Logistics and Transportation network.

Our Sortation department is a fluid, intentional, fast-paced environment. Therefore, you'll need to be able to effectively operate in a high speed, high reward context. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing a parcel sortation operation. This will come alongside supporting the daily management of departmental duties such as, solving process-related issues as and when required; improving product flow through the building; and assisting in developing a strong culture of health and safety practices.

Furthermore, you'll remain committed to the positive development of the personnel you oversee: you'll deliver ongoing coaching as you encourage everyone to perform at their best. Engaging with the team and developing an unrivaled level of associate engagement is a key part of the role. Continuous monitoring of overall department productivity will be key to your progress as a supervisor. You must be able and willing to work flexible schedules/shifts and commit the time required to get the job done.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A solid understanding of the Inbound and Outbound dock management and sortation process is desirable,
· You're an excellent communicator (both written and verbal),
· GCSE Maths and English, grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications),
· You have a conscientious, dedicated approach; you'll strive to meet or exceed departmental production goals,
· You possess a demonstrable problem solving, analytical ability,
· You're willing and able to train and learn new skills,
· You're able to handle long and short-term, varied and multiple tasks, while remaining committed in a fast-paced environment.
