Amazon Pay is changing the way merchants engage customers. We make it simple for hundreds of millions of customers around the globe to check-in and checkout using information already stored in their Amazon account.
The Amazon Pay Onboarding Team in Europe is looking for a Solution Architect who will help international - with a focus on German and Austrian - high-potential merchants and e-commerce solution providers integrate onto the Amazon Pay platform. This position can either be based in our Munich or in the Luxembourg office.
The successful candidate will provide continuous consulting throughout the integration project life cycle, starting with supporting pre-sales activities until the successful launch on the platform. In addition, the candidate will also interface with internal technical and business teams around the globe and contribute to significant platform changes and improvements such as roll outs of new programs or scoping of new project initiatives.
Candidates who delight in optimizing scarce resources, are IT savvy and can strategically outline effective solutions rapidly should apply.
Responsibilities
· Actively manage a portfolio of key partners for integration with the Amazon Pay platform.
· Work with the partners' business and technical staff to analyze and understand their business processes and workflows, define requirements and design appropriate integration solutions.
· Guide the partners through the technical on-boarding process, assist them with troubleshooting and make sure the project's milestones are met.
· Review the partners' integration efforts, work with the partners to create test cases to validate and enforce integration quality, and ensure integration efforts result in a smooth customer experience.
· Troubleshoot Amazon Pay-related integration issues and help partners work through events.
· Quality management - define and create reusable definitions and documentation for integration processes.
· Product and process optimization
· Support the launches of new programs and features.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Past work experience in a role as a developer
· Experience with payment systems, e-commerce and web technologies (like REST APIs, secure network communication, JSON, JavaScript)
· Experience with data warehouse
· A track record of managing and troubleshooting technical and business integration projects
· Strong verbal and written communications skills
· Attention to detail and capability to work on different projects in parallel
· High focus on quality
· Analytical mindset and the ability to solve difficult problems quickly and effectively
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Degree in computer science or relevant technical degree
· Several years of experience in a role as solution architect or technical consultant, ideally in an e-commerce or payments environment
· Fluency in German and English required.
