The Team:
The Amazon Point-of-Sale (POS) team is responsible for building POS systems for all Amazon physical retail stores. We started off with Amazon Books, a brick-and-mortar store that offers a curated selection of books, and merchandise such as Amazon devices. We are getting ready to launch new products that will amaze and define how customers interact with us in a brick and mortar setting.

The Role:
We are looking for talented experienced Software Developer in Test (SDET) [who] bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, large-scale system design, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day.

This is a mid-level SDET role which is highly visible and impactful. The person will work with our architects to not only design and build the system but provide the governance and guidance to ensure we build it correct and we build it great. Responsibilities:
· Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity.
· Design and build advanced automated frameworks, and infrastructure.
· Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
· Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability.
· Build and ensure our code artifactories are building in Continuous Integration (CI) fashion and we soon realize our dream of Continuous Delivery (CD).

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
· A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer science, Software engineering or a related field.
· 3+ yrs of Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages but not limited to... Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
· 5+ yrs of experience with major time designing and building automation frameworks.
· Experience in at least one of the following: test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, building tools and testing frameworks.
